Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 tbsp matcha powder culinary-grade
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.33 cup powdered sugar for rolling

Method
 

  1. Whisk dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
  3. Mix in egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to form dough.
  5. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll dough balls in powdered sugar.
  7. Bake until crinkled and set.

Notes

Do not overbake to preserve soft centers and vibrant color.
