Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 8 oz noodles lo mein, spaghetti, or rice noodles
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 0.5 cup sliced green onions
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and toss with 1 tsp sesame oil.
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned, then drain excess fat.
  3. Add garlic and ginger; sauté 1 minute.
  4. Whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes; pour over beef.
  5. Add cornstarch slurry and stir until sauce thickens.
  6. Toss noodles, carrots, and bell peppers with beef and sauce for 2–3 minutes.
  7. Drizzle remaining sesame oil, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  8. Serve immediately.
