Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb cube steak
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 14.5 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth

Equipment

  • Dutch oven or heavy skillet
  • Meat mallet
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Dredge steak in seasoned flour.
  2. Brown steaks in oil and remove.
  3. Cook onions, garlic, and tomato paste.
  4. Add tomatoes and broth; return steak.
  5. Cover and simmer until tender.

Notes

Low and slow cooking ensures the most tender steak.
