Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup whole milk or half-and-half
  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a pot, sauté garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add chicken broth and milk, bring to a simmer.
  3. Add pasta and cook uncovered until al dente and sauce thickens, 12–14 minutes.
  4. Stir in Parmesan and butter until creamy.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

For extra creaminess, add a splash of cream. Stir frequently to prevent pasta from sticking.
