Ingredients
  

Cake
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
Frosting
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3-4 cups powdered sugar sifted
  • 1/4 cup milk adjust consistency
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13-inch pan.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Beat butter and peanut butter until smooth.
  4. Add sugar gradually, then eggs one at a time.
  5. Mix in vanilla. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until smooth.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  7. Bake 30–35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  8. Beat butter and peanut butter for frosting. Gradually add powdered sugar, then milk and vanilla until fluffy.
  9. Spread frosting over cooled cake. Garnish and serve.

Notes

Optional: add chocolate drizzle or chopped peanut butter cups on top. Store in airtight container.
