Ingredients
  

Pistachio Chocolate Croissants
  • 2 sheets puff pastry thawed if frozen
  • 1 bar dark or semi-sweet chocolate or chocolate baking sticks
  • 0.5 cup pistachio cream or ground pistachios with butter and sugar
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash
  • 2 tbsp crushed pistachios for topping
  • 1 tbsp sugar optional, for sprinkling

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Pastry brush
  • Sharp knife

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Roll puff pastry sheets and cut into rectangles (about 4x6 inches).
  3. Spread a thin layer of pistachio cream inside each rectangle.
  4. Place chocolate on one short edge and roll pastry tightly over it.
  5. Place seam side down, brush with egg wash, sprinkle pistachios and sugar.
  6. Bake 15–18 minutes until golden and puffed.
  7. Serve warm with melty chocolate inside.

Notes

For stronger pistachio flavor, add a spoonful of pistachio paste to the filling.
