Method
- Whisk water and sugars in a saucepan over medium heat until dissolved.
- Add pumpkin purée and whisk until smooth.
- Add cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and a pinch of salt.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 8–10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Strain for a smooth consistency, if desired.
- Cool completely and store in a jar for up to 14 days.
Notes
For a thicker syrup, simmer longer. For iced drinks, always strain the syrup to avoid settling.
