  • 14 oz smoked sausage sliced
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice uncooked
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 cup bell peppers diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp oregano
  • to taste salt and black pepper

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and brown sausage slices.
  2. Remove sausage and sauté onion and bell peppers until soft.
  3. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Stir in rice and seasonings, coating rice evenly.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and return sausage to skillet.
  6. Cover and simmer on low until rice is tender.
  7. Rest, fluff, garnish, and serve.
