  • 10-12 banana peppers medium-sized
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1.5 cups breadcrumbs
  • as needed oil for frying
  • optional chopped parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Wash banana peppers and remove stems. Remove seeds if desired.
  2. Stuff each pepper with shredded cheese.
  3. Prepare three shallow bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge each stuffed pepper in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pan or fryer.
  6. Fry peppers in batches until golden and crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  7. Drain fried peppers on paper towels.
  8. Optional: sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with dipping sauce.

Notes

Ensure oil temperature is consistent to avoid soggy coating. Serve immediately for best texture.
