Ingredients
  

Peppermint Dough
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • food coloring optional
  • powdered sugar for rolling

Method
 

  1. Beat softened butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Mix in peppermint extract.
  3. Gradually add powdered sugar until a soft dough forms.
  4. Divide and tint with food coloring if desired.
  5. Roll into small balls and press with a fork.
  6. Let dry on parchment for 12–24 hours to set.
  7. Store in an airtight container or freeze for longer storage.

Notes

For extra festiveness, roll the mints in sparkling sugar or add edible glitter. Adjust peppermint intensity to taste.
