Ingredients
  

Bulgogi Beef
  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef ribeye or sirloin
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Sandwich Assembly
  • 4 hoagie rolls toasted
  • 1 cup kimchi chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheese mozzarella or provolone
  • 2 green onions sliced thin
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds toasted
  • Optional spicy mayo 2 tbsp mayo + 1 tsp gochujang

Equipment

  • Skillet or grill pan
  • Mixing bowls
  • Tongs
  • Broiler or oven

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Add beef slices and marinate for 30–60 minutes.
  2. Heat skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and caramelized.
  3. Briefly sauté kimchi in the same skillet for 1–2 minutes until softened.
  4. Split hoagie rolls and layer with cheese, bulgogi beef, and kimchi. Optional: drizzle with spicy mayo.
  5. Place sandwiches under broiler 1–2 minutes until cheese melts.
  6. Sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds on top. Serve immediately.

Notes

Marinate beef overnight for deeper flavor. Use a broiler or oven to melt cheese quickly.
