Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 cup cooked spinach squeezed dry
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup cream cheese softened
  • 0.25 cup parmesan grated
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
Coating
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1.5 cups breadcrumbs panko preferred

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking tray
  • Frying pan or air fryer
  • Three coating bowls

Method
 

  1. Mix spinach, cheeses, sour cream, garlic, and seasoning until smooth.
  2. Shape mixture into sticks and freeze until firm.
  3. Coat sticks in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs, repeating for double coating.
  4. Freeze again briefly to set coating.
  5. Fry, bake, or air fry until golden and crisp, then serve hot.

Notes

Freezing twice prevents cheese from leaking while cooking. Best served immediately with marinara or garlic dip.
