Ingredients
  

Pastry & Base
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed if frozen
  • 1 egg beaten egg for egg wash
Filling
  • 4 oz cooked ham thinly sliced or chopped
  • 1 cup fresh spinach chopped
  • 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp dried oregano optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Sauté garlic and spinach in a skillet until wilted. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano. Remove from heat.
  3. Roll out puff pastry. Spread spinach mixture evenly over pastry. Layer ham and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan.
  4. Roll pastry into a tight log, pinch edges to seal. Place seam-side down on prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush top with beaten egg.
  6. Bake 20–25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool 5 minutes. Slice into 1-inch pieces.
  8. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve warm.

Notes

Assemble the night before for an easy morning bake. Add extra vegetables for variety.
