Ingredients
  

Steak
  • 2 steaks 1-inch thick
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
Garlic Cream Sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.75 cup heavy cream
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh herbs thyme or parsley

Equipment

  • Heavy skillet
  • Tongs
  • Meat thermometer

Method
 

  1. Season steaks with salt and pepper and let rest at room temperature.
  2. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear steaks until golden on both sides, then remove and rest.
  4. Lower heat and melt butter in the same skillet.
  5. Add garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant.
  6. Pour in cream and simmer gently.
  7. Stir in Parmesan until sauce thickens.
  8. Return steaks to pan and spoon sauce over them.
  9. Garnish with herbs and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or pasta. Adjust garlic amount to taste.
