Ingredients
  

Beef Mince
  • 1 lb ground beef lean or regular
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp chili paste optional
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp chili flakes optional

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Mix soy sauce, honey, vinegar, and chili paste in a bowl.
  2. Heat sesame oil and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sauté onion, garlic, and ginger for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add beef and cook until browned, about 6 minutes.
  5. Pour sauce over beef and stir well.
  6. Add cornstarch slurry and simmer 2 minutes until sauce thickens.
  7. Season with chili flakes and pepper. Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

Add extra chili paste for more heat. Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds for authentic flavor.
