  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and diced
  • 1-2 jalapeños seeded and finely chopped, adjust to taste
  • ¼ cup red onion finely diced
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp honey or agave syrup optional, for extra sweetness
  • ¼ tsp salt adjust to taste
  • ½ tsp lime zest optional, for added brightness

Method
 

  1. Wash and hull strawberries, then dice into small pieces.
  2. Seed and finely chop the jalapeños, adjusting quantity for desired heat.
  3. Dice the red onion and chop fresh cilantro.
  4. In a medium mixing bowl, combine strawberries, jalapeños, red onion, and cilantro.
  5. Add lime juice, honey (if using), salt, and optional lime zest.
  6. Gently fold ingredients until evenly mixed.
  7. Let salsa rest 10–15 minutes at room temperature to allow flavors to meld.
  8. Serve with tortilla chips, grilled meats, tacos, or salads.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days. Do not freeze to preserve strawberry texture.
