Ingredients
  

Beef Mixture
  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 small red chili finely chopped, optional
Vegetables & Wrap
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves fresh
  • 0.5 cup carrots shredded
  • 0.5 cup cucumber thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup bell peppers thinly sliced
  • 8-10 rice paper sheets or lettuce leaves
  • 1 lime juiced
  • cilantro for garnish

Method
 

  1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sauté garlic and red chili for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, and brown sugar; cook 2–3 minutes.
  5. Prepare vegetables and herbs; slice carrots, cucumber, bell peppers, and rinse basil.
  6. Dip rice paper in warm water briefly if using.
  7. Place beef on rice paper or lettuce leaf, top with vegetables and basil.
  8. Roll tightly, tucking in sides.
  9. Garnish with cilantro and lime wedges; serve immediately.

Notes

These rolls are best served fresh. For meal prep, keep beef and vegetables separate from rice paper until assembly.
