Ingredients
  

Dip Base
  • 16 oz fresh mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
Cheese Mixture
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 0.5 cup grated parmesan
  • 0.33 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped plus extra for topping

Method
 

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter and olive oil.
  2. Sauté the onion until translucent and softened.
  3. Add chopped mushrooms and cook until moisture evaporates and mushrooms brown.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  5. Add breadcrumbs and toast briefly until coated and lightly crisp.
  6. Remove mixture from heat and cool slightly.
  7. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, parmesan, Worcestershire, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  8. Fold mushroom mixture into the cheese mixture until creamy and fully combined.
  9. Spread into a small baking dish and top with extra parmesan if desired.
  10. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–22 minutes until bubbling.
  11. Broil 1–2 minutes for a golden finish.
  12. Garnish with parsley and serve warm with bread, crackers, or vegetables.

Notes

Prepare ahead by assembling the dip and refrigerating up to 48 hours before baking. Serve hot for best texture and flavor.
