Method
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients until dough forms. Add milk if needed.
- Shape dough into a 2-inch diameter log. Wrap and refrigerate 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
- Slice dough into ½-inch rounds. Place on sheet, sprinkle sugar.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until lightly golden. Cool on wire rack.
